Our expertise in polymers has led us to explore the frontiers of nanomedicine in the areas of drug delivery and antimicrobials.

Solar Cells

The solar cell program at Almaden utilizes our expertise in nanoparticles. This allows for solution processing (low cost) and provides high surface areas for efficient light harvesting.

Water Membranes

The materials, processes, computational models and assembly methods developed for nanotechnology are leveraged for applications in desalination, water purification and power generation.
